Grant Acknowledgements

Sunshine Coast Council

Maroochydore FC has received tremendous support from the Sunshine Coast Council in providing quality facilities for use by the footballing community on the Coast. We cannot thank Council enough for their support. Some recent grants provided by Council include:

  • Fantastic new shade structure covering our seasting on Field 1.
  • Kitchen upgrade
  • Defib machine
  • Linemarker for our complex
  • Part contribution towards the recently completed lighting upgrade.
  • Three year funding assistance with field maintenance costs.
  • Contribution towards the concrete seating on field 1.
  • Funds for the purchase of a new line marking machine.
  • Funds for the installation of a fencing backstop behind field 3.
  • Numerous other grants to assist with the ongoing upkeep of equipment at the club.

Department of Sport and Recreation

MFC has received some significant funding from the Queensland Government (Department of Sport and Recreation, Department of Communities) in recent years to improve the facilities and overall quality of football at the club. Some recent grants received which we are extremely appreciative of include:

  • Upgraded audio system for the complex
  • Significant contribution towards the recently completed lighting upgrade.
  • Funding towards the repair of damage caused by the significant flooding at the complex in January 2012.

Gambling Community Benefit Fund

The Gambling Community Benefit Fund has provided some significant funding to MFC over the last 5 years to support football on the Coast. The funding received which has been awesome included:

  • Funding towards clubhouse furniture and AV equipment.
  • Funding of a new tractor to assist with field maintenance and other ground duties. 

Jupiters Casino Community Benefit Fund

The Jupiters Casino Community Benefit Fund has also provided funding to MFC to assist with facility development at the club. The funding received which was extremely generous included:

  • Significant contribution towards the concrete seating on field 1.

Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs

The department provided funding for MFC in 2013 to purchase a new computer and trailer
